About the Journal

Scope and Content

The CMS Journal of Mathematical Sciences with Applications publishes:

  • Original research articles presenting novel theoretical developments or innovative applications of mathematical methods.
  • Peer-reviewed abstracts of outstanding PhD and Master’s theses that demonstrate significant mathematical insight or interdisciplinary impact.

All submissions undergo a rigorous single-blind peer-review process to ensure academic excellence, originality, and relevance. The journal is committed to timely publication, ethical integrity, and accessibility for the global research community.

Peer Review Process (Single-Blind, via Open Journal Systems – OJS)

  1. Submission: The author submits a manuscript through OJS. The editorial office checks for scope, formatting, and completeness.
  2. Initial Screening: The Editor-in-Chief or Managing Editor assesses the manuscript for suitability. Submissions that do not meet basic criteria may be rejected without external review.
  3. Reviewer Assignment: If the manuscript passes screening, the editor invites at least two independent experts in the field. Reviewers know the authors’ identities, but authors do not know the reviewers’ identities (single-blind review).
  4. Review: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript for originality, methodology, clarity, significance, and adherence to ethical standards. They submit confidential comments to the editor and, optionally, suggestions for the authors via OJS.
  5. Decision: Based on reviewers’ feedback, the editor makes a decision:
    • Accept
    • Accept with minor revisions
    • Revise and resubmit
    • Reject
  6. Author Notification: The author receives the decision and anonymized reviewer comments (if applicable) through OJS and may submit a revised version if requested.
  7. Final Decision: After revision, the editor may seek additional review or make a final decision. Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting and publication.

The entire process is managed transparently within OJS, ensuring traceability, confidentiality, and efficiency.
